As you read this, I will be on a 240-mile bicycle ride. On Wednesday, at 5:00 AM, I will be leaving my house in Caledonia, WI with my sights set on a 12-hour ride to overnight in Madison via the Glacial Drumlin Trail, then on northward for another 12 hours to Stevens Point, arriving at dusk on Thursday.
I am going by myself to enjoy my own company. It will give me a chance to reflect on my life and open my mind to new thoughts. Whenever I go on adventures like these I come out of it a better person. With plenty of time to ponder, I normally think out future family plans, work details, and concentrate on my spiritual well-being. By the time I arrive in Stevens Point my life will be free of the stressors that have built up over the past several months. I will have new purpose and a plan to move forward as a more balanced, caring and stronger individual.
So with the hustle and bustle of the Fourth of July looming, I suggest you all take out some quiet time to be alone, reflect and prepare for what’s next.
My Best,
Kevin
