IM's Interns - 2017

Image Management had the dear pleasure of hosting two high school interns from Prairie School for the last couple weeks. Jack and JC were SUCH a pleasure, and they took the time to share about their experiences! Thanks Jack and JC!

Jack - Intern

During my 2 weeks as an intern at Image Management, I learned more and more about what the company does. I learned more about website design, advertising, graphic design, and how all these elements are implemented in the everyday work of the employees here at Image Management. I spent a majority of my time these past two weeks learning more about graphic design. I was assigned a project in which I would design a superhero for the company. During this process, I was mainly assisted by Israel and Chad, two incredible workers here at Image Management. After I made a general design on my iPad of the character, who we later named Image Man, the three of us brainstormed ideas for new characters. I received helpful critiques on how to improve the characters I created, and we eventually put the character designs I made onto Photoshop. Israel showed me the ropes of Photoshop, and he helped me create a comic book cover for the characters I made. I was very fortunate to meet such helpful and constructive people. My time here at Image Management has helped me improve my skills at designing, and also introduced me to many more skills that I hope to use in the future. I couldn't be more grateful for the amazing people that I've met here; Paige, Israel, Noah, Chad, Krystal, Matthew, and Claire (the president) all helped me improve and develop new skills. I would recommend giving Image Management a visit for its welcoming and laid back atmosphere alone, but if you're pursuing a career in advertising or design, this would be my number one choice for you. - Jack

JC - Intern

My internship at Image Management has been nothing but fun and lots of learning! So far, in the two weeks that I have been here, I have learned about everyone in the office. I learned about what everyone in the office does and why it is important by sitting in with each of the employees. We attended meetings about Rotary and a business expo, which were both great experiences. I also was able to do some of the things that the employees do at the office. A specific example included checking to make sure pictures on printed paper had the same data as the matched pictures on the computer. Another thing that I did was make deliveries and pickups for the company at places like the YMCA, the Police Station, and City Hall. I also drove around the city and took photos of the clients' businesses for the Image Management Facebook page. Flyers to advertise Image Management needed to be put up around the city so I went and put them up in places such as City Hall, the Police Station, the Red Onion, Panera and Starbucks. Overall, my internship has been very enjoyable and informational. - JC
