Outdated Web Trends

Fashion trends ebb and flow. The clothing styles that were on the cover of Vogue five years ago are definitely not the same trends we're seeing on this year's runway.

Website design trends are no different than fashion; it morphs year to year. As desktop and mobile technology advances, aesthetics and user interface of websites change.

The very styles that were cool and trendy a few years back have grown dull and stale.

With 2017 around the corner, it's the perfect time to take a long look at your website design to distinguish what needs a revamp!

Here are a few website design trends that are already outdated:

  • Sidebar navigation: Layouts with sidebar navigation are generally not mobile-friendly. Top aligned website navigation is the current go-to.
  • Boring fonts: Using Times New Roman text simply won't POP on the page. With Google Fonts, the options are nearly endless.
  • Adobe Flash: Using Adobe Flash on a website is terribly outdated. Not only are most computers not compatible for Flash, but Flash rarely works with mobile phones - which makes up a large portion of internet traffic.

Time and tide waits for no man. Call Image Management today to update your website design for 2017!
